Solutions for Citizen ID and Elections

E-passport issuance and personalization

5.2.3 E-passport issuance and personalizationAware software solutions for e-passport systems are used to collect biometric and biographic data, ensure its quality and compliance, and distribute the data for credential personalization. URC is used to enroll face and fingerprint images and other information towards issuance of a PIV card or e-passport. FingerprintComponent and FaceComponent run within URC application to perform fingerprint and face biometric capture and also abstraction of the capture devices. SubmitComponent performs transaction validation and manages data submission to BioSP.BioSP aggregates enrolled data submitted from the workstations, performs configurable workflows to process and distribute the data, and integrates with other systems to share data and receive responses. In this case, the data is sent to an AFIS for biometric search as well as to a card management system for personalization of the credentials.

National ID

Aware software solutions for national ID systems are used to collect biometric and biographic data, ensure its quality and compliance, search for duplicate enrollments, and distribute the data for credential personalization. URC or WebEnroll is used to enroll face and fingerprint images and other information towards duplicate search and personalization. Nexa performs biometric search, Inquire performs text-based identity match. BioSP can send biometrics to an external AFIS and a card management system for personalization of credentials.Nexa fingerprint, face, and iris biometric matching algorithms can be used to determine whether an applicant is already represented in the database, which can help deter and prevent fraud.Inquire|Search™ and Inquire|Resolve™ applies advanced text search, match, and link algorithms to check biographic data against existing records and to help ensure that each citizen is issued only one identity.

Biometric barcodes

Biometric barcodesBioSP biometric barcodes solution utilizes BioSP Document Server with AwareXM and AccuPrint libraries to perform server-based fingerprint template extraction, barcode encoding and printing, and biometric match-to-barcode. Upon enrollment, fingerprint templates are incorporated into two-dimensional PDF417-compliant barcodes and then printed on credentials, PDFs, or other documents. Upon authentication, a live fingerprint image is submitted to BioSP along with data extracted from the barcode. BioSP can then perform centralized 1:1 fingerprint matching to authenticate an individual to the credential or document.
