Libraries utilize Aware's ArchivePack software products for digital archives to store and distribute large digital imagery, such as are found in historical archives. Aware technology enables images to be compressed for efficient storage and viewed remotely over a network very efficiently, so that the viewer may view, pan, zoom, and scroll through large image sets as if the images were stored locally.
Natural Resources Exploration
Aware provides SeisPact™ software to the exploration community for efficient storage and transmission of seismic datasets; for example, from a ship to a research facility on land. These datasets tend to be very large and transmission networks expensive, so compression is valuable.
