Aware seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Analog IC Design Engineer to develop circuit designs for Aware's DSL solutions for high-speed wireline communications. The Analog IC Design Engineer will join Aware's team of engineers at its headquarters in Bedford, MA.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities cover all specification, design, implementation, and testing aspects of DSL analog chip design, including design blocks such as filters, programmable gain amplifiers, drivers, ADC’s, DAC’s, PLL’s, switched capacitor filters, and other circuits commonly used in communications devices.
Requirements
- BSEE and 5+ years analog experience, 8+ years analog experience and Master's degree preferred
- Experience in signal-path design of communication circuits in CMOS
- Ability to implement analog and mixed-signal design flows, including Spice and related simulators, transistor characterization and modeling, and parasitic extraction and signal integrity
- Established record of silicon success, including analysis of such factors as process variation, noise, and timing jitter
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and foundries

Aware seeks to add a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Analog Hardware Engineer to join its engineering staff at its Bedford, Massachusetts headquarters. This exciting position will enable the right candidate to participate in the design and development of leading edge high-speed DSL modems. This key position will require the candidate to work in a team environment to design and develop board-level reference designs for DSL wireline modems. The engineer will be required to work on digital and analog hardware designs and become familiar with the hardware impact on physical layer and network layer communications systems.
Job Responsibilities
The position's primary responsibilities will be to design and implement analog and digital circuits for telecommunications technology. This engineer will be responsible for development of DSL modem reference designs and networking systems based on Aware's DSL technology.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have analog experience including designs using DACs, ADCs, op-amps, line drivers, and passive components. A familiarity with transfer functions, programmable gain control, filter design, and impedance matching and a fundamental understanding of analog performance characteristics for communication systems is required. Design experience with noise analysis and noise reduction techniques desirable. Digital experience with networking devices, such as network processors, digital signal processors, Ethernet, OC-3, and mixed signal technologies is important. Use of Viewlogic schematic capture and PADs PowerPCB layout tools a plus along with strong lab skills. Candidates should have a BS/MSEE and 5+ years of design experience.

Job Responsibilities
Specify, implement, and verify digital designs in RTL for ASIC's using C, VHDL, and Verilog. Design blocks may include signal processing functions such as fixed and adaptive filters, Fourier transforms, error-correcting codes, data protocols such as ATM and Ethernet, as well as RISC processor systems. Functional verification techniques include directed and random testing with code coverage, functional coverage, and assertion checking.
Requirements
- BSEE or BSCE and 2+ years digital design/verification experience, 5+ years digital experience and Master's degree preferred

- Fluency in C programming

Senior Telecom Software Engineer (DSL)

The ideal Director Federal Sales candidate will have five to ten years of successful experience in software sales to systems integrators and/or government customers. Primary Responsibilities

- Monitor key revenue-bearing and non-revenue-bearing deliverables and activities, including both engineering and commercial activities (e.g., engineering deliverables, purchase orders, customer support requests), and report progress on a regular basis
