Embedded DSL Test Hardware
Aware’s Embedded DSL Test modules are designed for integration into DSL Test Sets and Probes and are used for troubleshooting and verification of DSL access and home networking services. The modules are fully compliant with the ITU-T ADSL1/2+ and VDSL2 standards, are interoperable with all industry-leading chipsets, and meet all applicable Broadband Forum performance requirements. Aware’s full-featured modules are ideally for triple-play troubleshooting and include performance validation of Ethernet and HPNA-over-Coax home networks.
Modules can be software-configured to emulate a customer premises modem to verify DSLAM service profiles and IP network connectivity, or as a central office/remote DSLAM for premises troubleshooting and service verification. All of Aware’s modules support a Linux co-development environment to encourage customers to add customized applications, such as IPTV or VoIP analysis.

Test Set Reference Design
The modules are powered by Aware’s advanced Dr. DSL® Expert Technology allowing field technicians access to a full suite of service qualification, line diagnostics and home networking test functionality. Dr. DSL single-ended (SELT) and dual-ended (DELT) technology can be can be ported to any Aware module allowing field technicians to quickly identify the type of disturber or fault, its location and impact on service.
All modules support Aware’s centralized DSL Test Set Management (TSM) software. TSM is a cloud-based solution that enables operators to upload and view Test Set results to centrally manage Test Set configurations, and to maintain all of the field test results in a central database for custom reporting and network planning.
