Aware’s Universal DMT (UDMT) product line of OEM DSL test and diagnostics modem modules are designed for integration into telecom outside plant handheld or test head solutions for verification of broadband services. The modules are ITU-compliant to ADSL, ADSL2/2+ and VDSL2 standards, are interoperable with industry leading chipsets and meet the applicable Broadband Forum performance requirements.  These full-featured “all-in-one” modules support all applicable data link layer protocols and statistics as well as Aware’s advanced Dr. DSL® Expert Diagnostics Software.  

The 450 and 550 models are small-profile DSL test modems designed for rapid integration into an existing or new generation outside plant test device.  The modules can be software-configured to operate as a customer premises or gateway device to verify DSLAM service profiles and IP network connectivity or as a central office/remote DSLAM for premises troubleshooting and service verification. 

The 1650 module is a comprehensive test head platform used for DSL broadband service assurance. The 16xx supports ADSL and VDSL2 modem emulation, passive Ethernet testing, narrowband diagnostics and telephony emulation.  The 16xx provides the requisite interfaces and functionality to allow equipment suppliers to quickly develop and market a competitive broadband test head solution.
